Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week's interpritation was open ended: photographer's choice. So I took the opportunity to share some random scenes (come to think of it, my photos are usually pretty random) I came across this week. Hope you enjoy.
Also, I apologize for the funny stretch on some of the photos. Don't know what's up with that, or how to fix it. So *warning* some images may cause vertigo.

 Dogs

Not quite sure what was established in 1853, but I liked this image.

Shoe

To me this is the epitome of drunkenness. One lost, lonely shoe.

Big Ben

Had drinks in a pub INSIDE the Parliament buildings. (apparently there are 19 pubs, 1 gym, and a hair dressers. Who knew?!)

Sunshine

Had some time to enjoy the sunshine with a good book in my local park.

Something Different

Now this you don't see every day. A burned out motorbike at the bottom of the stairs to a subway (pedestrian tunnel)

If you've participated in the hunt, let me know in my comments and link up at Ramblings & Photos.

Next weeks:
  1. Dishes
  2. Favorite Color
  3. Sunflare
  4. Expression
  5. Sticky

Fun travels!

The rules are simple:

  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!

Not a great photo, but I hear this ice cream truck almost every single day.

The texture of the mountain in Holyhead, Wales

Anything
The sweet little Jess, we did the trip to Ireland for.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week I'm fiercely missing Betty, so my photo set is all about my pretty girl. Whether you like it or not.

But I hope you do.

                Three

Betty the dog, hanging out with my Sam the bear and her Pierre the penguin. There's three of them, you see?

Hand(s)

Wrist and paw, that kind of counts for hands, right?

Fence

Betty rolled over into the fence and stayed there for 20 minutes. I think she was just enjoying the sun too much.

Cuddly

Betty is not a super affectionate dog (took her almost 2 years to wag her tail at seeing me) so when she is, I always must document it.

Sign

The grad hat is a sign of a well adjusted puppy who can follow commands. I never noticed her tongue sticking out to the side! So cute.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This week I forgot to take pictures, but rather than skip another hunt, I've pulled from the files (not too far back) for this weeks prompts.

Background

My current background aka wallpaper on my phone.

Spotted or Dots
Umbrella's doting the sky near Borough Market.

Weather

On this particular day, the sun was out and I had on my cool shades. FYI this is my gangsta sun in my eyes face.

Motion

The motion of time...sorry, I tried.

Sweet

Union Jack made of M&Ms from the M&M store in Leicester Square.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Not much to say this week, here is my interpretation for this weeks set.

Walking

Following the line to the Pick Me Up festival at Somerset House

Yummy to my tummy

Yummy in my tummy, except the bruised bits. They went to the trash.

Favourite Toy

It's a dog. A dog is my favourite toy. This is a painting of my favourite breed of dog, at the Royal Academe of Art Print Show.

What I did this week

While waiting for a friend at Leicester Square, I looked up and saw this beautiful building. Felt like I needed to take a picture.

Anything

Free champagne tastes better than any other kind. Might explain the blurriness.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I've been away for a couple of weeks. Lack of inspiration? Lack of time? Lack of motivation? Probably all of the above.

Happiness

I'm super happy when I get to work in museums, even if it's voluntary. Somerset House, London

Spring in Black and White

I took this a few weeks ago when the Daffodils first started blooming.

Family or Faith

This cross was given to me by my parents for my Confirmation.

Fuzzy

(This one is going to be a stretch) I got a little emotional aka warm and fuzzy feelings, when I saw the first runner of the London Marathon. Some were wearing black ribbons for the people of Boston.

Gathering or Provide

A gathering of used water bottles that were discarded after providing the marathon runners with hydration. (makes up for the last one, I should think)

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Happy Easter!
I'm a day late for Scavenger Hunt Sunday, but a long weekend means we get two Sundays right?
I found this weeks prompts very tough. Not my best work, but I hope you enjoy anyway.
Also, I'm on instagram (as you might recognize some of the filters), feel free to follow me @edeerich

Water

Friday nights, this is what my water looks like

Empty

Empty train home.

Fresh

I love the taste of fresh basil in cooking, so I grow my own in my window

Weathered

They called for sun on Sunday. I think I found where it was hiding.

Ordinary

An ordinary Easter Monday, painting someone's portrait on the train.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I just love London and all the different things it offers. There is no end to the variety and there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Somerset House is one of those places that offers so much, you can spend hours there visiting the galleries, attending a performance, or  have a bite to eat or a fancy cocktail and depending on the season watch a movie or go skating. This week I visited two of their free exhibitions currently on display and pulled my photos from the #Campaignforwool exhibit.

Somerset House

1. Asian

This is a fortune cookie beanbag.

2. Wavy

Wavy wall.

3. Draw

Postcard I picked up from one of the displays. They are "drawing" a picture with wool. It's a stretch I know.

4. Soft

BAH! I would totally love to have one of these in my house. Totally not lying.
Totally.

5. Texture

All wool here, even the walls-so many textures.
