Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I've been away for a couple of weeks. Lack of inspiration? Lack of time? Lack of motivation? Probably all of the above.

Happiness

I'm super happy when I get to work in museums, even if it's voluntary. Somerset House, London

Spring in Black and White

I took this a few weeks ago when the Daffodils first started blooming.

Family or Faith

This cross was given to me by my parents for my Confirmation.

Fuzzy

(This one is going to be a stretch) I got a little emotional aka warm and fuzzy feelings, when I saw the first runner of the London Marathon. Some were wearing black ribbons for the people of Boston.

Gathering or Provide

A gathering of used water bottles that were discarded after providing the marathon runners with hydration. (makes up for the last one, I should think)

If you've participated in the hunt, let me know in my comments and link up at Ramblings & Photos.

This weeks prompts are:

  1. Walking
  2. Yummy to my Tummy
  3. Favorite Toy
  4. What I did this week
  5. Anything

Fun travels!

The rules are simple:

  1. Anyone can participate.
  2. You’re encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
  3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).
  4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) – you can use the button above.
  5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (with so many new participants each week, it’s the only way I know to be inclusive).
  6. Have fun!

    1. Agreed, but they were ALL picked up, so that's good at least.

  3. that is a huge line of water bottles. What does England do with all that plastic? do they make it into other products? I collect pictures of signs. What is the sign saying?

    1. We watched a truck come by and collect them all up with a hose and a sweeper. Some exploded water all over the place and the truck drove over them. I was one of the lucky bystanders that got sprayed. I assume that they are recycled, like we do in North America.

The sign is a 'no fishing' symbol, there is a canal behind me in this photo.

  4. Popping over from Scavenger hunt! That's a lot of water bottles! (Is that an empty beer can tossed in there??). I like the photo of the runners too.

    1. Thanks for popping by, Karen! I was stood outside a pub so a few beer cans and plastic cups made their way to the mess as the recycling truck passed by.

  6. Great photos. You get to work in museums? You're so lucky to be surrounded by beauty everyday. And yes, I do believe that last bit may count as two. ...smiles...

Your Spring in BW shot was lovely. Enjoyed just the hint of color.
Wow that's a large gathering of discarded water bottles and a very interesting shot of them.
