The Famous Cottage Country Webers, Charcoal Barbecued Hamburgers

When I mentioned to a few people that I was heading up to Haliburton for a cottage weekend, each one of them said, ''OMG! You must stop at Webers!'' I vaguely remembered it as a kid as that burger place with the overpass bridge so that drivers on either side of the highway can stop for a quick meal.

Sure enough as we got close to Webers it was past lunch and we were all getting hangry.

As per usually, or so I'm told, there was a huge line to order, but the staff at Webers have done this before and have a system. A super efficient system. While you're waiting in line someone comes up to you and takes your order and a slip.

Next the cashier comes up to you and takes your slip, they return with your change and collect your money (Webers has developed the ability to predict the future! Or more likely assume you are going to pay for your meal with a 20.

You continue to snake along the line and marvel at the circus that is the kitchen of Webers

Finally your food arrives and you head out side to find a picnic table or Muskoka chair to enjoy your food in the park setting off this busy highway.

On this particular occasion we did not order hamburgers but rather poutine and hot dogs. It was nice to hit up this famous Ontario establishment on our way up to cottage country.

Have you ever been to Webers?
