Day Trip to Brighton

I'm in Europe to experience life abroad and to do as much traveling as I can. However, after my Italian Holiday (which was completely fab) funds were a little low. I won't be hoping on a plane again in the very near future but the desire to travel is still there. Luckily, I am currently living in a country with a rich history and despite it's small size (compared to Canada) there is still plenty to see.

About an hour train ride outside of London is coastal town of Brighton. With it's rocky beach and famous Pier there is lots to see and do to fill an afternoon.

Along the promenade there are restaurants, craft shops, museums and even a psychic. We strolled along, window shopping and enjoying the sunshine.

At the end of the Pier is an amusement park and Brighton Rock for .70p. We stopped for lunch on the Pier, slightly worried about the seagulls stealing our fish and chips. They are ruthless birds and even the most vigilant snackers had chunks of soft ice cream stolen from their cones.

There is even more to do within the city. If you head away from the coastline you may come across The Lanes, the Royal Pavilion or Sea Life Brighton. Brighton is one of my favourite places to visit, I find the sound of the waves crashing into the pebble beach very soothing. It's a nice calm after the busyness of London.

If you would like to see other, more fantastic pictures of Brighton, check out my girls Gina and Selena who have also visited this pebbled beach.

Fun travels!
