As the snow melts and the ice breaks apart on the Great Lakes it gets pushed to the shorelines, creating an eerie vista of sharply undulating, white cap waves you can walk amongst. The icy beaches extend far out into the water and frigid waves continue to spray up over the wintry barrier, slowly breaking it down as the early spring sun shines on. The sheer scale reminds me of the power of nature.
Wow - the whole lake freezes over in winter?!
ReplyDeleteIt truly is an amazing sight.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing it to me :)
